About White House

The White House is known as the primary living space and office of the President of the USA that is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., and has been home to every president since John Adams in 1800. The architectural history of the building goes back over two centuries, with a combination of Georgian, Neoclassical, Empire, and Classical Revival styles all playing a role in its unique design. Inside, visitors can find interesting artifacts and artwork, as well as several private quarters for the President and First Family, including 132 permanent bedrooms. Underneath the building are two bunker-like levels that can be used as safe rooms during emergencies while outside there is an iconic lawn where events such as Marine One landing and press conferences are regularly held. Currently, the 46th and current President Mr. Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., as well as the First Family, are tenants in the building.
